On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.

1 Corth. 13: 22-26 ESV

Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding.

2 Corth. 10:12 ESV

As humans we are prone to compare ourselves and even compare others to the point where individuals begin to despise where God has them for the moment. This comparison can stir lack of contentment and moving ahead of God instead of allowing God’s plans to unfold while he continues to prepare us to be utilized on another level. Sometimes it makes us doubt our callings, gifts or talents. Have you felt that way before? Do you feel that way now?  Do not doubt what you are called to because where you stand now seems far from where you feel you’re supposed to be. If walking in obedience, the platform on which you stand at the moment is given to you by God. Do not despise small beginnings. It is the same God we serve, when we serve both in large capacities and in small ways.

Likewise, do not doubt what you are called to be because others cannot see the greatness in you. Instead, stand boldly and tell your spirit man, “what God has spoken will come to pass. There is greatness and power in this vessel and I will serve God both great and small, both when seen and unseen for everything unseen to man is seen by God and everything small to man is still as important to God”. When the devil says, “you are not good enough”, tell him, “I might not be, but the one at work in me is more than enough!”. Know whose you are and to whom you belong. Know your place but never look down on where you stand right now. Every leap forward has a starting place. God is with you at that starting place, during the leap and when you land until it’s time to move forward in faith again. Isn’t that something to rejoice in. God is with you at every stage!!!

Find people who also will be like Christ along your journey. We the body must remember that each member possesses gifts to bring glory to God and to be a blessing to us members. We must cultivate an atmosphere of encouraging others to be all that they can be. For when another member is not reaching their potential we miss out on being blessed and edified!

PRAYER: Dear God, help me to rest and know that you have called me for greatness and everything that I do for your name no matter what platform I am on is pleasing to your sight. Help me to remember to seek your confirmation and not others when doing your will. And help me to encourage my brother or sister in Christ to be everything that they were created to be. I love you Lord and thank you for being with me every step of the way!

REMEMBER:For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ. Gal. 1:10
