SCRIPTURE: On that night the king could not sleep. And he gave orders to bring the book of memorable deeds, the chronicles, and they were read before the king. And it was found written how Mordecai had told about Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs, who guarded the threshold, and who had sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus. And the king said, “Who is in the court?” Now Haman had just entered the outer court of the king’s palace to speak to the king about having Mordecai hanged on the gallows that he had prepared for him. And the king’s young men told him, “Haman is there, standing in the court.” And the king said, “Let him come in.” And Haman said to the king, “For the man whom the king delights to honor, let royal robes be brought, which the king has worn, and the horse that the king has ridden, and on whose head a royal crown is set. Esther 6:1‭-‬2‭, ‬4‭-‬5‭, ‬7‭-‬8 ESV

In this life, we can easily forget all the things that people do that are good. Sometimes, we ourselves feel overlooked and our deeds unseen. However, we serve a God who sees and recalls everything!

God doesn’t forget the good we do in secret and He doesn’t mind silencing those who stand against his children. Just when Haman had plans to put to death Mordecai, the king asked Haman how he should bless him.

God never misses a beat. He woke up the king one night just to bring the king’s attention to Mordecai. Such perfect timing! God is so faithful that He has no problem bringing up what we do or display our character to those he chooses. Even if it means waking them up at night! How beautiful is it that we do not have to prove ourselves loudly to the world, but allow the father to elevate us.

God is more than capable of touching people’s hearts and showing us favor. Mordecai never asked to be arrayed with the king’s robe and horse. He was just faithful in doing the right thing. In doing the right thing, opposition may arise yet God delights in putting opposition in its place. 2nd to him of course. What a faithful God. What an awesome reminder that He truly cares for us. He watches over us and He loves us!

PRAYER: Dear God, thank you for your gentle reminder that you see all things and you care. There is no detail unnoticed in my life and in the lives of those I love. Thank you for your faithfulness. Your intentionality cannot be understood, but only appreciated. Thank you for always remembering me. Help me to keep that truth in my heart. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

Remember: And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:9‭-‬10 ESV
