SCRIPTURE: Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:9‭-‬12 ESV

True and pure friendships are hard to find. Consider yourself blessed when you turn to your left and right and see people you can cast your burdens on. How amazing it is to have people who truly have your back!

Many people walk this life never experiencing friendships grounded in love. They have only known abuse and may not trust others. Those of us who say we are fine may even underestimate the impact of unhealthy friendships in our lives. Some brokenness is made aware but some may not be so vivid. Thank God for Jesus. He is a friend who has no ill intentions towards us. His ways are always pure, good and aimed to mend the broken hearted.

If that wasn’t enough, God still blesses us with friends he approves. In the family of Christ, we have the opportunity to experience relationships that while not perfect still bless us. God will still bless us with people that will help us up when we fall. Friends that will pray for and alongside of us. They may not always love us perfectly, but they will strive to love us as Christ empowers them. Woe to the man or woman who does not have help! Thank God you are a part of his family. Thank God for the friends and family you have. Think about those who you surround yourself with. Now, consider yourself blessed! Good friends are just a prayer away!

PRAYER: Dear God, thank you for being the friend you are to me. Thank you for being an example and help me to love the friends you have given me. Help me to not take them for granted. Give me a heart to be tender towards their needs and desires. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

REMEMBER: “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.  Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. John 15:12‭-‬13 ESV
