He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:10‭-‬13 ESV

Imagine building a company that has forgotten who you are after you spent years establishing it. The company took everything out of you to build yet no one has any regard for who you are or what you have done.

The world Christ created did not recognize him. His own people rejected him. Yet his love for the world and for people made him pursue us like nothing we have ever encountered. Rejection is not new to God and it will not be new to us as His children. There will be people who receive us and there will be people who do not. The beautiful thing is those who do receive Jesus have the right and privilege to be children of God. Those who receive you have the opportunity to receive his love, the Jesus in you and all the beautiful gifts He stored in you.

God desires for everyone to know him and what His kingdom is all about. The world may reject even our father but our father will never reject his children!

PRAYER: Gracious and heavenly father, thank you so much for your love. Thank you for making yourself known to me. I receive you daily as my Lord and Savior and pray that the light of Christ be reflected to all in my life so others may come to know you! In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

REMEMBER: Christ loves you no matter what!
