It’s not worth it! The stress and the worrying. What can we change by worrying? Absolutely nothing! Again, absolutely nothing! We cannot change the past, but we do have the opportunity to impact our future. 2020 continues to remind me that life is too short to worry about things you can not control and we need to just rest and trust God. As scripture says, “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34 NASB. Every day there will be something that needs to be overcome but tomorrow will care for itself. I read that and it speaks to me that tomorrow will be ok because God is intervening. I believe that each day if we commit that day to God all will be well by faith. Honestly, I can not identify a time when God did not come through! If a problem didn’t seem sorted out that specific day, I knew that each day God was bringing me closer to his finished work in those certain situations. Later, he revealed what he was working on for my good, his glory, and my spiritual growth! We always want things to go our way. When they do not, how do we respond?

As I focus on God who never fails, I am so encouraged in heart to just rest. I don’t know about you, but I love to strategize and try to come out with my A, B, C plans but God was like you need to click None of The Above hun. Every one of those apart from me is an L (lose), a failure. Definitely have not mastered this but I am truly challenging my thoughts and finding myself at more peace. We are not accepting defeat when we let go and let God. At times we can believe that if we do not intervene there is not another option, but if we seek God we will see otherwise. God’s options could be like A. Prayer B. Rest C. Cast your cares and burdens on me D. Rejoice E. All of the Above. We can literally click all of the above every time and see God download wisdom and clear instructions on how to respond to our situations. That makes me lift my hands and step back from the problem just to surrender this over to God. God will act on our behalf. He will intervene! Here are some scriptures that remind us that no matter the circumstance God will always intervene. (feel free to read surrounding scriptures for context).

Scripture says:

Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act.

From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him. Isaiah 64:4 ESV

For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

Philippians 2:13 NASB

Why not just rejoice with this truth. The giver of all things good is reminding us to stop worrying. He has a solution. He has made the way. He is the way. He is at work. He does care. He has not left you nor forsaken you at this time. Today will be ok! Tomorrow will be ok. That next day will be ok. And this message remains the same! These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 NASB God will intervene. In Fact, he already is and has intervened!

I hope you find these words uplifting.
