SCRIPTURE: Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God. John 12:42‭-‬43 ESV

Fear will have us run away from doing what we know is right. It is possible to believe in God, yet reject Him for acceptance from others. We can seek glory and praise from man, more than we care to seek God’s approval.

No one wants to be an outsider, but we know we can not serve man and God. The authorities believed in God, but kept their belief in Him a secret! We can believe in God, but can we be bold in our faith and live it out? God is calling all of us who believe in Him to live out the truth we know, so others may see Him and glorify him.

Are we ashamed of the gospel? Are we ready to live the truth out? Or are we desiring inclusion from social media followers and praise from our peers, church members, or others? What are we willing to exchange for our faith?

PRAYER: Dear God, you’re not a secret that needs to be hidden, but the truth that others need to know. Forgive me for not fully living your truth out. Help me to be bold in faith and obedience to your word, In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

REMEMBER: Do not live for the glory of man!
